About
History
Royal Sign celebrated its 30th year in business in February of 2008. We opened our doors February 1978 at the corner of 24th and Okmulgee Street in an old filling station in Muskogee, Ok. With a thousand dollar loan from a relative to buy a few essentials including an oil burning Chevy pickup we began building our company.
Blessed with some loyal clients who believed in our talent and abilities we began to slowly grow. The 70’s represented a period of long hours of labor and improving our craftsmanship. By the early 80’s we began to see that the industry was about to reach a major milestone in the history of sign making. Eager to be among the first to ride the new wave of emerging computer automated technology we purchased a vinyl cutting device from Gerber Scientific Products.
Through a relationship with a well know icon in the sign industry we were invited to become a “Beta” test site for Gerber Scientific Products. Our charmed position allowed us to see the future of sign making before it occurred. Our advances flourished as we kept pace with Gerber’s equipment offering.
Our relationship with Gerber, who has continually led the industry in innovations for since the 80’s, postured us to acquire many solid locaL, regional and national accounts. As our capabilities, computer savvy, and product offering increased so did our client list.
Today Royal occupies a 20,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility on a 4 acre parcel of land.
